a big chunk of a life lost due to the failure of the system. the state of california settled with her out of court for 20 million dollars. what about the men who get exonerated after 20 years behind bars because of dna evidence. those are big chunks of lives lost due to failures of the system. nobody hears much about them and i HIGHLY doubt they even get any money.
